Each trial will launch on the date of the anniversary and will run until the end of the summer holidays. In addition to the trails, I am hoping to combine educational elements so that participants learn as well as find about the importance of the events and those involved. I would like to discuss if we could use the heralds for this trail and discuss how we can maximize this event. My email is above and I can be reached on 07795561290 during office hours.

Yours sincerely,
Andy Sharman

Hello,
My name is Nigel Ferguson and I am the Special Event Manager of Pontefract & District Amateur Radio Society (and a Regional Manager for the Radio Society of GB). Several members of the Pontefract club and other friends are connected with the Magna Carta celebrations next year. I have been asked if the Pontefract Radio Club could operate a very special special event station (SSES), as one of the 25 Barons was John de Lacy. Usually Ofcom (who issue the licences) only issue special event callsigns (SES) containing the numbers zero to nine, ie GB 0 PH (which we use regulary at Pontefract Castle -the PH standing for Pontefract Heritage). For this SSES we hope to operate using the callsign GB 800 MC. There are also other clubs throughout the country who have been in contact with me who would also like to operate using a SSES callsign. Unfortunately Ofcom require a letter from the organising body to explain why the event is of such significance. I have informed them that the signing of the Magna Carta was probably one of the most important events in British history, but they still require that confirmed by you! We are also asking Sir Bill O’Brien, from Pontefract, for a similar letter. I would be most grateful if you could either post or eMail such a letter for me to pass on to Ofcom. If you let me have an address I will post on to you some of the cards that we send out to contacts for events such as that at the Castle, Scout and Guide stations, Yorkshire Day, etc. These cards are used by amateurs to confirm that contacts took place. Our cards have been sent to stations throughout the world, including Australia and New Zealand.
All the best,
Nigel Ferguson,

In light of the 800 year anniversary of Magna Carta and the upcoming celebrations next year, I was wondering if the Magna Carta Barons would be interested in an award winning stage play: MAGNA CARTA dramatizing the tumultuous events leading up to and following the signing of the charter at Runnymede?

Please let me know if you would be interested in reading the play or recommending it to any theatre group in your area.

Yours very truly,

Chris

Regarding the presentation of a facsimile of the Magna Carta today, can somebody send me a quote on behalf of the Association to go with a picture lead story I am writing about it?

Thanks

Any way I know you have invoked the Queen in 2001 but would like to know if you plan to do any thing else? As things are getting worse, also what steps do we the people have to do, do we sign allegiance to any of you? if so could you tell me how.
Looking forward to your reply, many thanks
J Stamp
