Hornby events

We had over 100 for teas on Sunday, and three sessions of bellringing.

We distributed 500 of the colour leaflets with the parish magazine (one to every house), and the remaining 250 have already been taken from church, where we’re hosting the exhibition.

200 people came to hear local historian Andrew White speak on “Hornby, Magna Carta and the Montbegons” on Monday, the anniversary itself.

And the Magna Carta celebration was made the centre of a week-long festival, which is only half completed, but which has had “having to get out extra chairs” as a recurring feature of every event.

We sold out of absolutely everything, and could have done so several times over. We are probably going to make the Magna Carta exhibition permanent…
