Pleshey’s medieval weekend

Pleshey had a great success with their weekend of activities in Geoffrey de Mandeville’s castle bailey on 9-10 May. Clare-Castle Hedingham heritage trail opened

‘Magna Charta’ roses are planted in Curry Mallet

One of the first horticultural displays featuring an old variety of rose called ‘Magna Charta’ was planted in Curry Mallet, Somerset, just before it rained this Saturday 25 April. A new sign will be erected behind the display later. Curry Mallet was the chief manor of William Malet, one of the twenty-five Magna Carta barons.

Opening a heritage trail from Clare Castle to Hedingham Castle
